Sometimes, the chin may be too big or too small in proportion to the face.
If the chin is too small, the condition can be remedied by injecting the patient’s own fat and bone tissues or by placing silicon or medpor implants. The operation is done through an incision opened in the mouth. Therefore, the trace of the incision will not be visible. As the stitches are melting type, there is no need to remove them. The patient is discharged the same or next day and may go back to regular routine in a couple of days.
If the chin is too big, then the operation consists of more complicated procedures to reduce the size of the chin bone.
Chin aesthetic surgeries, generally, are performed together with the nose aesthetic surgeries to attain more satisfactory result.
